Brief
When Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa needed a new website, the goal was clear: keep iwi and hapū connected to the mahi happening across the rohe. At the same time, it was a chance to bring their evolving brand identity to life — celebrating iwi achievements while creating a central hub for updates and resources.
A key feature? The registration form. It helps differentiate iwi members from wider supporters, giving Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa the tools to communicate more effectively and showcase their impact when exploring future opportunities.

The goal
Keep whānau connected — and make it simple.
The website needed to engage both new and existing members with the mahi and achievements of Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa, while giving hapū a place to see what’s happening across the rohe. A key feature was the registration form: iwi members could sign up to vote on important matters, while interested parties could stay informed without the extra step. Alongside this, the site had to showcase resources and articles in a clear “kete” and lift the trust’s professional presence with consistent, confident brand communication.
The process
Start with a map, work up some wireframes
We built a clear site map to scope the information that needed to be carried over and to plan a better way to present it. Click it, test it: wireframes became clickable prototypes, giving the team a real sense of flow before full design was applied. Zoom, test links, repeat: we collaborated closely with the developer to find solutions that were practical, functional, and beautiful. Every design decision — from layout to mobile responsiveness — was iterated until the desktop and mobile versions worked seamlessly together.
The outcome
Showcasing achievements, strengthening community
A site that works as hard as the whānau it serves. Members can register to vote on important matters, interested parties can stay informed, and hapū can easily access resources and articles through the intuitive kete. Desktop or mobile, every page is clean, functional, and visually aligned with the evolving brand. Most importantly, the website celebrates the mahi and achievements of Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa, connecting the community while lifting the trust’s professional presence across the rohe.
