Work
Brief
Te Tumu Paeroa needed eye-catching event collateral for their stall at Te Matatini, the world’s largest kapa haka festival. The goal was to connect with iwi and whānau by promoting their scholarship, My Whenua service, and trustee opportunities. The collateral included large-scale posters, QR code cards with a custom sleeve, campaign banners for landing pages, and branded giveaways to power meaningful connections.
The objective
To design high-impact event collateral that promoted Te Tumu Paeroa’s services and scholarships, connecting whānau to their whenua and the mahi of the organisation.
The goal
Make a splash at Te Matatini. We aimed to create event collateral that celebrated whenua, inspired whānau to engage, and showcased Te Tumu Paeroa’s scholarships and services — all in a way that stood out in a busy festival environment.
The process
We began with the QR code cards — the campaign’s centrepiece — featuring only Te Tumu Paeroa–managed land and staying fully on brand while elevating the visual style. Once messaging and content were set, we moved to A0 posters, balancing bilingual text, strong visual impact, and clear, scannable QR codes. For the free multiport cable packaging, we prototyped a practical, affordable solution aligned with the “Power your connections” theme, linking each pack back to the My Whenua service. Cards, posters, banners, and giveaways were all designed to work together as one cohesive campaign — celebrating whenua and engaging whānau.
The outcome
A cohesive, visually engaging suite of collateral that connected whānau to their whenua, scholarships, and Te Tumu Paeroa’s services. From posters to QR cards to branded giveaways, every element celebrated the mahi of the organisation and made a tangible impact at Te Matatini.
